Supra Gives You Wiiings...

Red Bull Supra First Pic

1994 Toyota Supra; Red Bull Livery

Every now and again a customer will come to me and say, 'do whatever you want'. This was one of those rare cases. I'd been wanting to do a variation of a Red Bull livery for a while so took the opportunity here. Came up with some ideas and showed some inspiration pics, a design was soon settled upon. Another consideration was to wrap the front wings and partially wrap the rest of the carbon so we could get the nice lines of the car back, it did look a little disjointed. With everything agreed, it was time to press on.

Making a Start

Work began with the front headlights, bumper and bumper lip, front wings and side skirts being removed. Everything was cleaned and prepared and the wrapping began. Front lip was done first, the recess was left carbon and the rest was wrapped. Then the front wings were wrapped and the first part of the yellow circle added. Everything can be cleaned more easily and then edges tucked neatly if they're off the car.

Sides and Rear

Moving onto the sides, the main logo was in place so just needed to finish the yellow wrap on the side skirt before that could go back on. Then came the wrapping of the tailgate.

Finishing Off

With the wrap elements complete the spoiler was put back on and the end was in sight. Remaining logos and details applied, including some smaller touches that finish it off nicely

Before

Carbon Panels

Project Moo v1

Before the livery. The car has carbon fibre bonnet, front wings, front lip and tailgate, which is always cool, but it did break up the lines of the car somewhat. We decided to wrap the front wings entirely, and then just do the edges of the bonnet, tailgate and lip. That way it would restore the flowing lines of the car but you'd still get to see plenty of the carbon goodness.

Inspiration

With Some Imagination

Red Bull Aston Martin

This render of a Red Bull livery on an Aston Martin formed a major part of the inspiration. The main logos on the sides could be replicated while the smaller ones on the front bumper would need to go on the rear due to lack of space. Of course the car is silver, not blue, so it would be more of a sugar free version

Carbon Fibre

Carbon plates

The finishing touch to this livery was a carbon fibre rear plate. JDM size and made with Toyota, Japanse and Red Bull details. Get in touch for your custom carbon fibre plates; custom sizes and designs available, individual or as a pair.
